September 2006

Wow, what a great couple of weeks!

We had a variety of opportunities to show the love of Jesus Christ and to share the Gospel. There were several construction projects: a new school/church building in Río Seco, a completed home for Pastor Pablo in Bella Vista, and a church in Cabrera now has a concrete floor. Also we held VBS, basketball outreaches, dramas, street ministries, and church services. The greatest privilege of all was witnessing people come to the Lord and people renew their faith!

I would like to thank the people from Minnesota for coming to visit us and for all the work they did to further the Kingdom of God. But most of all their willingness to be flexible and to be used to cultivate in the plentiful harvest here in the Dominican Republic!

During the week of August 14-21, a team of Canadians from Nova Scotia led by Pastor Dave Sawyler served alongside us. They continued to work on the church and school in Rio Seco preparing the trusses and pouring the cement floor. They also partnered with a local pastor, pastor Felipe, for a three day crusade in Munoz, a community just outside Puerto Plata. This included ministering in music, testimony, and preaching, as well as sharing on the radio and TV. We are grateful to God for all the team was able to accomplish, and praise God for those who came to know Christ and were prayed for during the week. Thank you to the team for all their hard work in making this week the success it was!
