El Factor, a town known for its problems with drugs and gangs among the youth, was rocked this week. Along with a visiting team from Duluth, Minnesota, we showed a movie, The Cross and the Switchblade, on the local basketball court. Over 200 people were in attendance - the place was packed! After the movie, we presented the gospel and gave the opportunity for people to accept Jesus as their Saviour. Around 30 children came forward in front of everyone to respond to Jesus. Praise the Lord! But that is not all… the next evening we hosted a basketball tournament in the same basketball court. After presenting trophies to the winning teams, we again had a chance to present the gospel to the people. When the opportunity was given for those who wanted to accept Christ to come forward, a group of about 15 young adults, the guys that were in the tournament, stood up and came forward immediately!! Thank-you, Jesus!! What an incredible miracle - the angels were certainly rejoicing in heaven those nights! The pastors will be following up with all these young men and women, to ensure that they grow in Christ and are brought into a church family. Please keep on praying! The harvest is ready and huge!
