Missionary Staff

Missionary Staff members are more than someone who works with us. This is a ministry. We look for people with a passion for Jesus and who feel called to invest in the God-given vision of Every Day Ministries. They believe in equipping, empowering and encouraging the national pastors and leaders of the Dominican Republic. God has blessed us with amazing people, who have hearts of gold.

Gregorix-and-RamonitaGregorix and Ramona Polanco, along with their daughter, are EDM’s first Dominican family to serve as full-time missionaries. Gregorix and his wife manage and maintain EDM’s Ministry Center. In addition, Gregorix serves in missions as an Assistant on various levels. His computer knowledge proves to be beneficial in the ministry. Gregorix also serves as a translator and leads worship.  He has been in worship ministry for many years. It started in his home church that his father pastors. Gregorix knows ministry life and this knowledge lends to his understanding of serving with EDM.

Our Associate Missionaries

We are honored to have associate missionaries from the Dominican Republic as a part of our team. These men and women of God are faithfully serving in various roles in their local church while also carrying out the great commission and furthering the vision of EDM. They have made a personal commitment to the EDM mission organization to serve on a volunteer basis and collaborate in ministry efforts. They are a blessing.

Stateside Volunteers

Along with those who serve in the Dominican Republic, EDM is grateful for the men and women who volunteer their services while residing in the United States. These people have been faithful and devoted countless hours to the furthering of God’s vision for Every Day Ministries. We thank God for them.

Mission, Vision, Foundational Values

Our Mission is:

  • Equip and empower the churchVision
  • Train and develop leaders
  • Raise up nationals to their full potential
  • Extend the Kingdom through multiplication
  • Empower women in their roles, potential, and God-given image
  • Develop and implement the talents of the national and foreign missionaries
  • Globally mobilize the Body of Christ through strategic partnerships

Our Vision:

Every Day Ministries exists to transform communities through empowering the church.

Foundational Values:

valuesGod, People, and Ministry are the three components that make up the core of our foundational values. These foundational values are the principles by which we have guided our ministry both in the past and for future growth. We hold these values in high regard. They determine how we direct the ministry, how we live, and how we make decisions both on a daily basis as well as for the future.

Our goal is to protect and uphold these values throughout the years of influence of Every Day Ministries so that generations to come will be impacted and empowered for the Kingdom of God.

  1. Hearing the Voice of God
Being entrusted with the mandate of EDM, we rely on God and the Holy Spirit. Therefore, hearing from God for wisdom, revelation, and the direction of the ministry is of utmost importance.
  2. Living by Faith
The birth and development of EDM began with a step of faith and reliance on God. Acts of faith please the Lord. Living by faith means we step out before we know how it will all turn out.
  3. Life of Surrender
We value being strategically proactive, to be purposeful, and ultimately surrendered to God's will in order to please Him. We value being spiritually passionate and perseverant; not just being busy. God is the one who directs the ministry of EDM.
  4. Value of People
People are the heart and soul of our ministry. We serve with eternal motives rather than ministry tasks alone. We desire to see people empowered to do self-initiated strategic missions.
  5. Culture of Honor
We believe honor involves holding true to our word and following through on our commitments. In brotherly love, we are called to respect and honor one another,  and submit to governing and ministerial authorities all while presenting ourselves with authenticity as an ambassador of Jesus Christ.
  6. Multiplication
We value ministry initiatives that will multiply the efforts and laborers of the Great Commission.
  7. Empowerment of Vision
We are called to be visionary as a ministry, receiving fresh revelation from God. Our goal is to release others into their anointing. We value the potential of people and provide the conduit for them to utilize and launch their dreams.
  8. Pioneering
EDM is a ministry which continues to impact through pioneering in new areas, new ministries, new methods, and is willing to step out of the norm to reach all generations and every sphere of society. We thrive on pioneering.
  9. Holiness
We strive to model our lives in a Biblical manner that would please God and lead others to Jesus. We desire to partner with individuals, ministries, and organizations that would seek the same.
  10. Prayer
We value prayer as the foundation of missions and a vital weapon of spiritual warfare. We are committed to creating with God through listening to Him, praying His prayers and obeying His commands no matter how great or how small. This is a vital part of our process for making decisions.

Meet the Founders

“God’s will for our lives does not always proceed in a straight line.” Jim and Renee have certainly identified with this Amy Carmichael quote.

Jim LarsonWith over twenty years in managerial experience in business, Jim received a call to enter ministry. His world was about to change. Jim’s journey began in youth ministry where the call to the Pastorate was affirmed and confirmed. He became licensed and ordained with the Fellowship of Christian Assemblies. While serving as Youth Pastor at two churches, Jim continued as manager in the grocery industry where he led the company in sales and gross profit. Then God asked him to surrender his career, youth ministry position, and securities to enter the mission field.

Renee graduated from college with honors and experienced numerous successful years in the pharmaceutical industry when she was called to surrender it all. She dedicated herself full-time to home educating her children. It was a great investment. During that time she received a burden for youth in her community and partnered with Jim in youth ministry. After several years, both Renee and Jim believed it was time to minister full-time.

They responded to the call of missions. That meant leaving everything they were comfortable with and those they loved. Two of their three children joined them in a journey to a country where they knew no one. This was about to be the biggest step of faith they had taken yet. Stepping out into the unknown requires one to trust God at many levels.

While serving in their initial position as missionaries in the Dominican Republic, they received a vision from God. They were called to empower the Dominican pastors. This vision grew into founding Every Day Ministries in 2006. The ministry has since then duplicated and expanded!

Jim is president of EDM; both in the United States and the DR. He directs the ministry’s programs, construction projects, visiting teams, and communications with the national pastoral associations. He also preaches, pastors the pastors, and designs training programs for the pastors to implement. Jim has a heart to see others raised up into their God-given call and gifting.

During the time of ministering to the nationals, God stirred Renee’s heart to answer the call of Pastor. It was while in the DR that she became licensed and ordained with RAIN Ministries. It was another decision and leap of faith that was God led and God affirmed.

Renee LarsonRenee has a heart for the pastors and leaders, especially the women. Through Deborah Generation, a ministry for women in leadership, Renee carries out this charge. She directs this part of the ministry with passion and is witnessing the fruit of her investment. There are other roles Renee assumes in the areas of administration, preaching, training, fundraising, and hosting visiting teams.

Jim and Renee say that it has been worth every risk. Since the time of launch, the Lord has demonstrated His favor and power. Many lives have been transformed by the love and power of Jesus. God has revealed His heart for the nationals and how He wants to advance His kingdom both in the Dominican Republic and beyond. In fact, the ministry has grown tremendously. Every Day Ministries now extends from the north coast to Santo Domingo, where the new headquarters has been established. EDM is currently networked to over 2000 pastors and is growing.

Recently Renee and Jim founded a humanitarian work, Every Day Hope. Its focus is building self-sustainable communities to improve the quality of life. Pioneering is never done.

Ephesians 2:10
“For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.”

History
